OUR STORY

We are proud to call ourselves founders of Veterans Football when only 2 leagues were playing - Vaux Sunderland, and Sheffield’s Hallamshire Veterans League were in operation way back in the early days. Today every county promotes Leagues of over 35, over 40, over 45, over 50, and over 60 teams.

WHAT WE PIONEERED IS NOW A THRIVING SECTOR OF THE GAME

From forming the Wilmslow Wizards, to Billingham Strollers, Harrogate Vets, Nottingham Knights, and 16 Professional clubs, inc Manchester Utd, Blackburn Rovers, Leeds Utd, Everton, West Bromwich Albion vets' football began to thrive.

Today, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales National Teams are spreading the game.

What started with just 9 teams grew to an incredible 265 teams - represented by every county, and sponsored for 20 years by Umbro.

The Umbro Cup became the flagship for senior football, including playing 10 finals at Wembley, plus Villa Park, Forest's City Ground, West Bromwich Albion's Hawthorns, to name but a few.

We've organised games tours for teams from the USA's legendary Boston Braves, teams from Thailand, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, Scotland, Wales, Australia, South Africa, Norway, Russia etc. All great experiences.
